For paint factories seeking to balance multiple product categories with cross-regional supply, the stability and adaptability of automatic paint dispensers are often critical to production. The client in this case study is based in Tanzania and is a comprehensive enterprise that integrates paint production with packaging manufacturing. As the scope of their business continues to expand, higher demands have been placed on colour consistency and the equipment’s ability to operate continuously. Following a comparative evaluation of available options, they ultimately selected our DC-1 automatic paint dispensers. The full details of the project are outlined below.

Client Background
This enterprise is a leading family-run integrated manufacturing plant in Tanzania, operating two core business lines in parallel: paint and chemical production, and packaging manufacturing. The entire plant comprises over 60 production lines.
The coatings business is the company’s core operation, with two proprietary brands: the first is a mass-market home decoration coatings brand that leads the Tanzanian market in sales, offering products including interior and exterior latex paints, automotive refinish paints, fillers, and primers. Sales extend across six East African countries: Tanzania, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Malawi, the Republic of Rwanda, and Zambia.
The second brand is positioned in the mid-to-high-end market, specialising in elastic exterior wall paints, anti-algae and anti-mould coatings, wood primers, textured coatings, as well as highly weather-resistant coatings specifically developed for tropical coastal environments. The products emphasise UV resistance, anti-mould and antibacterial properties, and high flexibility, making them well-suited to the local humid, coastal tropical climate.
In addition to its own brands, the factory also acts as an agent for two major international paint brands: PPG and Ronseal. The comprehensive product portfolio covers home decoration and architectural paints, primers, industrial topcoats, automotive refinish paints, adhesives and specialised surface treatment coatings.
The packaging division is the company’s second-largest business segment, primarily producing beverage crown cork, metal cans and corrugated cardboard boxes. Packaging products are used both to provide packaging for the company’s own paint products and to fulfil orders from external clients.
Project Challenges
As a paint manufacturer serving markets across several East African countries, this Tanzanian factory has specific production requirements for its automatic paint dispensers:
1. It must produce both high-volume, mass-market home decoration paints and high-end, specialised paints for coastal regions; all paint categories require stable and consistent colour-matching results;
2. As finished products are sold to six neighbouring countries, colour-matching results must be repeatable to ensure colour consistency across international shipments;
3. As the factory integrates paint production and packaging, automatic paint dispensers must have a low failure rate to ensure the entire production line can operate continuously and smoothly, minimising the impact of downtime on the overall production schedule.
Solution: DC-1 Automatic Paint Dispensers
Following extensive evaluation and comparison, the client ultimately selected our DC-1 automatic paint dispensers to suit the factory’s large-scale paint production process. Following delivery and commissioning, the automatic paint dispensers have now officially commenced operation at the Tanzanian factory.
The DC-1 automatic paint dispensers are highly suited to the factory’s actual production conditions:
1. It meets the colour-matching requirements for high-volume production of popular home decoration paint brands;
2. It is suitable for colour-matching mid- to high-end speciality paints, including anti-mould and anti-algae paints, coastal high-weatherability paints, and automotive refinish paints, amongst other product categories;
3. It supports colour-matching for complementary products such as primers, industrial topcoats, and adhesives, thereby supporting the factory’s complete product range.

Project Outcomes
The DC-1 automatic paint dispensers is currently operating stably at this integrated paint packaging plant. The automatic paint dispensers provide colour-matching support for the client’s two proprietary paint brands, as well as the international paint brands they represent. Consistent colour-matching output helps the plant ensure uniform colour quality for goods exported to Tanzania and several neighbouring countries in East Africa.

With the factory’s in-house production lines for metal cans and cardboard boxes, the tinted coatings can be transferred directly to the internal packaging process, enabling a closed-loop production cycle from colour matching to finished product packaging, thereby enhancing production efficiency.
